🌸Cherry Blossom Festival 2025🌸

HJP goes to the Cherry Blossom Festival!
Members of Kraken's Call took a break from raids and roulettes to enjoy one of the most magical events of the season — the Cherry Blossom Festival!

This event was organized by FFXIV players and hosted in the Goblet residential district!

The festival was spread out the entire ward, with streets lined with cherry blossoms and food stalls, open air concerts with live DJs, attractions at the different housing locations, and so much more!

Preparation

We started the evening at our FC house, where everyone put the finishing touches on their glam looks with some cherry blossom accessories, kindly handed out by our event leader, Brutali Tea. Once we were all pink and proper, we piled into our cars (because obviously, rolling up in style is half the fun), and cruised into the Goblet together.

Attractions

The festival took over an entire ward — and it was stunning. We kicked things off with a jumping puzzle that was fun, if a little confusing (I don't think any of us completed this first house puzzle…and I'm surprised none of us got separated). Then we explored a cleverly constructed maze with a surprise photo spot at the end — a perfect reward and a great memory to capture.

The Easter bunny also made a guest star appearance! And Ettie was able to find them and snap a selfie with them.

Ishtar got separated from the others and got lost in the crowds.

After we all regrouped, we wandered through a peaceful dogwood tree park, constantly amazed at the creativity players brought to the event.

One of the houses was transformed into this cozy park lined with Cherry Blossoms.

It was really special to be able to go around these attractions together and appreciate how creative the FFXIV community is and how much they are capable of creating.

They even had a stall selling snacks. It's very similar to a 屋台 or yatai in Japan.

But the real highlight had to be the Clockwork Angels — a dazzling, synchronized performance that even had its own website to sync music with the light show. Just... wow.

Our friend Buck Haus (also leader of the Buckaneers and resident fashionista) met up with us right in time to catch the Clockwork Angels, and from there we continued soaking in the atmosphere — cherry blossoms floating through the air, people /waterfloat emoting in the pools, and jump cheering to the synced music and dance choreography. It honestly was one of the most jaw-dropping and dazzling experiences I’ve ever experienced.

There was still more to explore, but alas duty called, and raid time came knocking. Still, for a brief, beautiful time, we shared something unforgettable.

Until the next festival — stay stylish, stay kind. 🌸
